Edge computing is about running and processing the data as close as possible to the end points and devices; that is, where the data is generated. For companies like banks, that’s the users, themselves. Because cloud technology tends to be the best to ease work force. though to the accessibility and less stress nature of Cloud Technology.

This simply means that as more and more companies migrate to a multi-cloud environment, the data center is not going the way of the dodo bird. There is no great data center extinction to watch for. Rather, it’s more likely that companies will deploy a hybrid mix; with micro data centers forming crucial parts of the infrastructure. Data center aren’t actually going away. More accurately companies are evolving their infrastructure. These vendors can help you maintain that precarious balance between innovation and the IT that quietly keeps running it.

Alternative power sources for data centers

This is where it really gets interesting. To accommodate these larger data centers, organizations/companies are looking into new types of power sources for help. Already nearly 42 percent of respondents indicated that they have either already deployed some type of renewable energy source or plan to do so over the next two months.

Of those, 60 percent said these new energy sources will help their organization achieve new green initiatives and help lower return on investment (ROI) and/or total cost of ownership (TCO) of the data center. Solar energy is the most popular, with 83 percent saying they are using it or plan to, and 63 percent saying they plan to use hydro and/or wind energy.

Redundancy of power and cooling is also growing in importance. About 80 percent of respondents said they’re at least at N+1 electrical redundancy levels, meaning a single independent backup if the main power is lost, and 78 percent have N+1 cooling backup. Over the next 12 to 36 months, about 30 percent will incorporate N+2 levels of power redundancy and 27 percent will use at least N+2 levels of cooling redundancy.

It just further shows that the data center is far from dead, but it also isn’t staying the same — it is changing, and the move to N+2 for power and cooling shows an increased emphasis on uptime.

With all these in mind, Datacenter is undoubtfully growing and also also affecting other aspect of technology, Having a Professional Datacenter installation company is always the best. do you need a professional IT company to advice you on how/where to go about your Company/organization Datacenter, Networks, servers, Cloud Computing etc. Contact Linx Networks Ltd our team of professional engineers will see to your desire. Book Appointment online or visit us at Suite SA 95 New Banex Plaza, plot 743 Aminu Kano Crescent Wuse 11 Abuja, or call +2348159999429, datacabling@linxnet.com.ng.

Internet of Things & Edge Computing The consistent rise of the “internet of things” (IoT) is majorly part of reason[…]

[9,8,12,4,11
36,13,22,26,28,63,50,25,31,21
post-423","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cloud-computing","category-data-cabling","category-general-it","category-it-networking","category-technology","tag-business-cloud-voip-solution","tag-cloud-computing","tag-cloud-deployment","tag-cloud-setup","tag-data-cabling","tag-datacenter","tag-information-technology","tag-infrastructure-as-a-service","tag-it-infrastructure-deployment","tag-software-as-a-service
["GET
